In today’s rapidly evolving public safety landscape, the demand for timely, accurate and shareable intelligence has never been greater.
Law enforcement agencies across the country are tasked with managing vast amounts of information, often spread across outdated systems, siloed databases and disconnected communication channels. Critical intelligence can become buried in email threads, trapped within individual departments, or delayed in reaching the officers who need it most. This fragmentation creates inefficiencies that can slow investigations and limit proactive policing efforts.
But this challenge also presents a powerful opportunity.
As modern technology, particularly AI, continues to reshape how organizations operate, the potential to transform law enforcement intelligence sharing is becoming a reality. That’s why Multitude Insights’ recently announced $10 million Series A funding marks such a significant milestone not just for the company, but for the future of public safety infrastructure.
Multitude Insights is building BLTN (pronounced “bulletin”), a secure, AI-powered platform designed to modernize how agencies create, share and analyze intelligence across jurisdictions. By enabling real-time distribution of critical information and automatically surfacing connections between related cases, BLTN helps ensure that the right intelligence reaches the right officer at the right time with minimal friction.
This approach represents a fundamental shift. Instead of intelligence being confined to isolated systems or manual workflows, BLTN transforms it into a networked, actionable asset. Officers no longer need to sift through emails or rely on informal communication channels to uncover relevant leads. Instead, they can operate with clarity, speed and confidence, spending more time in the community and less time behind a desk.
The Series A round, led by Primary Venture Partners with participation from a strong group of strategic investors, will enable Multitude Insights to scale its platform, expand integrations including a key partnership with Mark43 and accelerate adoption nationwide.
Scaling alongside NEC’s global ecosystem
Notably, this Series A builds on a relationship that began well before today’s milestone. Multitude Insights has been a portfolio company of NEC X since Oct 2023, when it joined Elev X! Boost — the Silicon Valley-based accelerator program run by NEC’s innovation arm — and received investment designed to fast-track its scaling in the public safety sector. From the outset, the partnership was framed as more than capital: it gave Multitude Insights access to NEC’s global technology ecosystem, patent portfolio, mentor network and reach into public safety markets worldwide.
The Series A participation by NEC Corporation’s Orchestrating Future Fund reinforces and extends that relationship. Rather than a one-off bet, the follow-on commitment reflects how NEC’s broader ecosystem — spanning NEC X’s early-stage acceleration, the Orchestrating Future Fund’s growth-stage capital, and NEC group operating companies in target markets — can work in concert to support a portfolio company as it matures. For a category-defining startup in a regulated, mission-critical domain like law enforcement, that kind of continuity across funding stages and business units is unusually well-suited to the long sales cycles and compliance demands the sector requires.
One concrete expression of that ecosystem at work is an ongoing integration discussion between BLTN and a forensics and investigative analysis platform offered by NEC Corporation of America (NECAM) to U.S. law enforcement agencies.
While the integration work is still in discussion, it illustrates the kind of product-level collaboration that the NEC relationship is meant to unlock: not just capital, but practical interoperability with the tools agencies already rely on.
A broader shift in public safety infrastructure
Beyond funding, this milestone reflects a broader shift in how public safety agencies think about technology. Infrastructure and policymakers place renewed focus on safety and accountability, there is growing recognition that modern, collaborative infrastructure is essential. Legacy systems were never designed for real-time, cross-agency intelligence sharing and the gap is increasingly impossible to ignore.
Multitude Insights is stepping into that gap with a solution purpose-built for the complexity and rigor of law enforcement environments. With deep expertise across government, military and public safety sectors, the team has built BLTN with security, compliance and operational discipline at its core ensuring it meets the demands of mission-critical use cases.
As agencies modernize their technology stacks, intelligence sharing is emerging as one of the most urgent and impactful areas for innovation. Multitude Insights is not only addressing this need but defining a new category of infrastructure, one that enables law enforcement to operate more efficiently, collaboratively and proactively.
This milestone is just the beginning.
With new capital, expanding partnerships and growing adoption, Multitude Insights is poised to play a central role in shaping the future of public safety, helping ensure that intelligence flows seamlessly, decisions are informed and communities are better protected.
